His real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, born October 18, 1979. People know him as Ne-Yo. He is an American pop and R&B singer. Ne-yo is also a good song writer. He born in Arkansas and raised in Las Vegas. While still in high school, Ne-yo belonged to R&b group Envy, going by the name Gogo. Since the groups disbanding in 2000, Ne-yo had substantive success as a songwriter. Ne-Yo decided to remain as a songwriter, but a close friend introduced him to Los Angles. His friend gave him the name Ne-Yo. My three favorite albums that Ne-yo has are: Because of you, In my own words, and Year of the gentleman. The song that I chose is called Miss Independent. This song is created in 2008. I like this song a lot because it talks about a man who likes a girl that is his boss. Every time I listen this song reminds myself because my girlfriend is my manager in my job. The lyric Of this song it's about a woman who is strong, independent, makes her own money, and does not need to rely on a man. She also is able to buy her own clothes, pay her bills on time without asking her man to do all the stuff for her. It also says how a man admires a girl.
